Quindry offers an interesting, unusual selection of continental and British furniture and decorative arts. Although we tend to specialise in twentieth century design, we sometime incorporate earlier pieces in our selection, resulting in an eclectic mix rather than a uniform style. The unifying trait linking all the pieces that we choose is quality. We travel regularly to
France and the rest of Europe to source exciting new pieces.

A qualified translator, Gwenola Pilard settled in London in 1996
and worked in Banking and Finance until 2006 when she decided
to go back to her longstanding passion for design and interiors. Drawing
onto her French aesthetic roots, her travels and an open approach to design, Gwen has
developed a strong and highly personal taste in furniture and decorative arts. She set
up Quindry in Spring 2007, initially operating exclusively by appointment from central
London before opening the gallery in Fulham in July 2009.

Quindry's selection emphasizes clean lines and (sometimes bright) colours, teaming the elegant with the unusual. Our choices are dictated by spontaneous attraction as much as knowledge of design. We draw our inspiration from famous designers including Madeleine Castaing, David Champion,
Ilse Crawford, Jacques Doucet, Tony Duquette, Jacques Grange, Veere Grenney, David Hicks, Yves and Michèle Halard, Chester Jones, India Mahdavi, Peter Marino, Alberto Pinto, Gío Ponti, Andrée Putman and Jim Thompson amongst others.
